CFE Virtual Workshop - Improving grassland management to enhance soil health & NFM

This virtual workshop, hosted by CFE in partnership with Tyne and Eden Rivers Trusts, examines the role grassland management can play in improving soil health, the benefits to the farmer & how this fits with a catchment approach to natural flood management (NFM).

Ceri Gibson of Tyne Rivers Trust provides an overview of NFM and how pasture management fits into the bigger picture.

Niels Corfield, an independent advisor in grassland management, discusses the measures farmers can take to improve water infiltration rates and the economic, as well as practical, benefits to the farm business.

Andy Dyer of Eden Rivers Trust gives examples of how they are working with farmers to improve pasture management, such as providing communal sward lifters.
