Angus Gowthorpe is a mixed farmer from Selby in North Yorkshire. Angus was runner up in the Soil Carbon Farmer in 2018 in recognition of measures he has introduced to improve soil health on his farm. He has a diverse arable rotation including herbal leys, grass and clover and combinable crops and a herd of high health pedigree Saler cattle.
Chris Clark is a Farm Business Adviser and a partner in Nethergill Associates. He is the author of the ‘Less is More’ report focusing on sustainability of upland farming systems. He gives business advice to a wide range of farming enterprises across the UK and is currently leading an innovative initiative looking at the opportunities for optimising natural capital on farms.
Dr Liz Genever is an independent sheep and beef consultant with an interest in grass and forages, grazing management, demonstrations and research. From a farming background, Liz has established herself as one of the country’s leading experts on forage crops, grazing strategies and sheep and beef fertility and breeding. She has led over 500 events and demonstrations and provides practical advice to farmers seeking to improve the performance of their grass-based enterprises.
