In the last year of the Campaign, NFYFC and CFE are working together to offer a direct entry competition to demonstrate the skills and awareness of you, the farmers of the future. By entering you can help
• increase awareness and support of the Campaign amongst young farmers
• increase your knowledge of environmental management
• showcase your skills and enhance your CV
Enter and you’ll be in with a chance of winning the following amazing prizes:
1st Place - £500 and CLA Student Membership for 1 year, plus 1 year subscription to Practical Farm Ideas and one bumper 'every issue in print' to share
2nd Place - £300 and tickets to 2012 CLA Game Fair, plus 1 year subscription to Practical Farm Ideas
3rd Place - £100 and 1 year subscription to Practical Farm Ideas
All prize money kindly donated by Masstocks Farm Consultancy
All teams taking part will receive a free bag of wild bird seed mix from Kings Game Cover and Conservation Crops to give to their chosen farm!
This competition is open to teams of 2 - 4 YFC members – full or associate members (N.B. this competition does not count towards the NFYFC NFU Trophy).
Here’s what you’ll have to do:
Give a brief overview of a farm of your choice (outside of an agri-environment scheme), assess any existing environmental management, demonstrate which ELS options, Campaign Voluntary Measures or a combination of both to implement that best suit the farm’s resources and economic situation and finally summarise how supporting the Campaign will benefit the farm business.

Here are the key dates for the competition:
Tuesday 31st January 2012 – Registration deadline - THERE IS STILL TIME TO ENTER, THE DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO FRIDAY 10 FEBRUARY
Friday 30th March 2012 – Entry submission deadline
Saturday 28th April 2012 – results & prizes awarded during the ARAC forum at NFYFC AGM Torquay
