If you are already taking part and wish to record your contribution, visit our Online Record
If not, then taking part is easy.
You can support the Campaign by doing the following:
- Choose the key target options when you renew/join the Entry Level Stewardship (ELS) scheme
- Retain your former set-aside and any other areas of uncropped land and record these on your Annual Defra June survey returns
And most importantly:
- Put areas outside of ELS into a Campaign voluntary measure and record this online and in the annual Defra survey. These can be located in areas like field corners. For more information on what measures you can implement see our Guide to Voluntary Measures.
CFE guidelines
When you renew or enter ELS ensure that one third of the points in your agreement come from key target options like pollen and nectar and wildbird seed mixes
Or
Put three to four per cent of your arable area into Campaign voluntary measures to avoid losing a minimum of three per cent of farm payments and six per cent of productive land.
If every farmer in England established just one hectare of pollen and nectar mix, and two of wild bird seed on every 100 hectares of land in production, together with buffers beside vulnerable watercourses, then the Campaign will succeed in avoiding regulation.
Who can take part?
Anyone who manages land in England - however much - can contribute to the Campaign. Every farmer or land manager can make a difference and help us all avoid compulsory set- aside. If we do not achieve our targets by 2012 then the industry will face regulation and an estimated 6% of productive land will have to be taken out of production.

Not in one of our target counties?
If you are not in one of the target counties, this does not mean that your efforts to support the Campaign will go unnoticed. Everyone who makes a contribution, whether in a target county or not, will count.
