Environmental Stewardship (ES) is an agri-environment scheme that provides funding to farmers and other land managers in England to deliver effective environmental management on their land.
ES is managed and administrated by Natural England on behalf of Defra.
Through Entry Level Stewardship you can support the Campaign and be paid for it. For information and how to apply call 0300 060 0011. You will find information on ELS through the Natural England website, or from your local Campaign co-ordinator.
Natural England is offering free one to one farm visits, workshops, farm walks and events to help you apply for ELS. By attending one of these events, or having an adviser visit your farm you can find out how to:
- apply for ELS
- choose and locate the right options for your farm
- effectively manage these options over the agreement period
To find out what's on offer locally, book onto an event or arrange a 1:1 visit from a local and experienced advisor contact the events team on 0300 030 1695 or visit this web page.
